Dr Mansur Ali is a lecturer in Arabic and Islamic studies at Cardiff University. He is a Darul Uloom graduate and holds a degree from Al-Azhar University, Egypt, and postgraduate degrees from the University of Manchester. His interests include Hadith studies, Islamic legal theory, fiqh al-fataawa, Muslim chaplaincy, and Islam and bioethics. Currently he is researching organ transplantation and Islam. In addition to his post at the University, he is also a khatib at Darul Isra Mosque, Cardiff. In 2015 he was the recipient of the British Imams and Scholars Award (BISCA)
