Dr Mathew Guest is Professor in the Sociology of Religion at Durham University, having taught in its Department of Theology and Religion since 2004.
His research is organised around two main themes: the status of religion within context of higher education, and the ways in which the assumptions of neoliberal economics influence how religion is expressed and relates to its cultural contexts.
